Judging from the lyrics, it's difficult to tell whom
Shooting Blanks despise more, themselves or
girls. Filled with self-loathing and misogyny, Wasted
Time is a snotty, super-charged punk album. In
"Another Chance," SB lament, "I'm going home alone
again/I'm too familiar with my hand," and explain, "I
think I'd be cleaner if I had no wiener . . . I'd act
like a psycho/And blame it on my menstrual cycle," in
"If I Was A Girl." Funny if you're 13, but anyone can
appreciate the frenzied energy of their punk anthems.
